- Children are taught using a learn-through- play approach with bi-weekly themes.
- Routines include free play, craft time, snack, circle time & there is a fenced in play area for outside activities.
- We provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment where children can grow to their full potential

Time: 8:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m.
Ages: 3-5 years

Family Daycare Program
The Family Home Child Care Society has more approved homes throughout Pictou County.
- Providers & their homes are inspected & approved by the licensed Agency staff.
- Providers receive training in child development workshops every year.
- Staff visit the homes regularly to assist & support.
- Activities done in the homes include free play, some structured play, outdoor activities, small motor activities, story time, arts & crafts, music & dance, and other fun learning activities.
- Subsidy is available.

Subsidy is available for low to middle income families (a family has to be making more than $70,000 before they do not qualify for subsidy). Subsidy means that parents do not pay full fee for their space; how much subsidy they receive depends on their income. After School
- We have an onsite after school program with caring experienced staff.
- We offer organized group activities, free play, outdoor play, & healthy snacks.
- Our spacious day care has lots of games, toys, arts & crafts, books, available Wii gaming system.
- We have a large fenced in playground for outside activities.
SEPT - JUNE

Grades: Pre-Primary to six
Cost: $14.00 per day(Mon-Fri)

There are buses from both G.R. Saunders Elementary on Bridge Avenue and W.A. MacLeod Elementary in Riverton that stop right in front of our facility.
Staff go out and meet them as they are getting off the bus to ensure their safety.
Full Day Summer Program
- Licensed Facility and ECE trained staff
- Spaces now open
- 7:30-5:30 Monday - Friday
- Two nutritious snacks provided. Children bring own lunch
- Daily outside play (weather permitting) in fenced in backyard
- Field trips planned
- Lots of crafts, toys and books
JULY through AUGUST
7:30am- 5:30pm Monday-Friday
Cost: $25.00 a day
