$115 – groceries, $45 liability insurance, $25 supplies (crafts materials) = $185 (expenses)

Total income – expenses or $635 - $185 = $450 per week



Scenario #2


2 toddlers @ $31 per day                                           $62 x 5 days = $310
1 toddler @ $31 (4 days)                                            $31 x 4 days = $124
2 afterschool @ $14 per day                                      $28 x 5 days = $140
                                                                                 Total:               = $574 per week

$115 groceries, $45 liability insurance, $20 supplies = $185 (expenses)

Total Income – Expenses or $574 - $185 = $389 per week

Ratios

To meet safety standards established by the Fire Marshalls Office, the Dept. of Education and Early Childhood Development has the following Regulation regarding ratios:

A caregiver can care for 7 children of mixed age groups. This includes their own under the age of 13 if they are on the premises. Of the seven, no more than 3 can be under age 3; and no more than 2 of the 3 can be infants (under 18 months).



Rates

Caregivers can charge between $34-$38 (infants), $30-$34 (toddlers), & $30-$33 (preschoolers)
